Before Sozo Farms came to life, Aaron and Chelsea Colvin were deeply rooted in a mission ofservice.
Aaron, a former NFL athlete, and Chelsea, a dedicated stay-at-home mom, always felt a calling to support those in need. Their journey was one of unwavering commitment—helping underserved communities and making a tangible difference in people’s lives.
As Aaron transitioned out of professional sports, the Colvins sought a new path that would allow them to expand their impact. They envisioned a place where healing, restoration, and well-being could flourish. Through extensive research, prayer, and an unshakable faith in their mission, they discovered a remarkable 122-acre farm in Terrell, Texas. This land became more than just a farm—it became the foundation of their vision and the heart of Sozo.
With no prior farming experience, Aaron and Chelsea embarked on an incredible journey as first-generation farmers. But Sozo Farms was never just about agriculture; it was about creating a sanctuary. A place where people could reconnect with nature, find clarity, and heal—physically, mentally, and spiritually. They understood that well-being is holistic, and by addressing people’s basic needs, they could empower individuals to find stability, direction, and renewed purpose.
Sozo’s mission extends beyond the farm. By introducing traditionally marginalized communities to agriculture, they provide not only nourishment but also knowledge—tools for self-sustainability, , and holistic health. A clear body fosters a clear mind, and a clear mind paves the way for transformation. When people are no longer burdened by survival, they can focus on personal growth and fulfilling their life’s purpose.
THE MOVEMENT CONTINUES
Today, Sozo Farms operates as both a sanctuary and a movement—offering free and paid services that generate resources to up lift those with limited access to financial and educational opportunities.
Through strategic initiatives, they cultivate an environment where physical healing, mental liberation, and spiritual rejuvenation take root.
What started as a dream has grown into a thriving space of restoration, empowerment, and community. And this is only the beginning.
